Jan. 31: Professor Jennifer Cooper presented at national conference

Tuesday, January 31, 2017

FREDERICK, Md.—Hood College was represented recently at a national conference hosted by an organization that works to establish quality standards for nursing education and assist schools in meeting those standards.

Jennifer Cooper, DNP, assistant professor of nursing at Hood College, presented with faculty colleagues from other schools at the Doctoral Education Conference held by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in San Diego on Jan. 20.

Her presentation, “Integrating Population Health into Graduate Nursing Education,” was a collaborative effort by the public health and faith communities to identify those with or at risk for hypertension in western Maryland. It was part of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials’ Million Hearts State Learning Collaborative and was funded by AACN and the Centers for Disease Control’s Academic Partnerships to Improve Health.
