Feb. 16: Women’s studies program sponsors film series

FREDERICK, Md.—A series of films made for and by women will be shown in February, March and April at Hood College.

Screenings of the nine movies will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 317 in Rosenstock Hall. Refreshments will be provided.

The movies focus on three themes: Contemporary Girlhood; Women, Love, Health, Sexuality; and Women, Conflict and War: A Global Perspective.

  • Feb. 21—Girl Wrestler
  • Feb. 28—Girlhood: Growing up on the Inside
  • March 6—In Sickness and In Health
  • March 20—Absolutely Safe
  • March 27—Orgasm Inc.
  • April 3—My Daughter the Terrorist
  • April 10—Afghanistan Unveiled
  • April 27—The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo
