Monday, February 4, 2013

FREDERICK, Md.—A juried selection of artwork created by Hood College students will be on display from Feb. 14 through March 16 in the College's Hodson Gallery in the Tatem Arts Center.

A public reception is scheduled for Feb. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with an award ceremony beginning at 7 p.m.

Represented in the exhibition are works in design, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and ceramic art created by undergraduate and graduate students. Some of the works are available for purchase.

Guest juror Rod Malin selected the exhibited artworks and award recipients. The New York City- and Baltimore-based curator is the founder and director of Baltimore's Guest Spot Gallery, an independent art space that features contemporary artists. For information about the gallery, visit
