Saturday, March 31, 2012

Republican presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is scheduled to speak at Hood Monday, April 2 at 2 p.m., and meet with student members of the Hood College Republicans.

Gingrich and his wife, Callista, will be in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall as part of their campaign to seek his party’s nomination to run for President of the United States. Their appearance at Hood will be one of a number of stops in the Frederick area.

Gingrich will speak between 2 and 3 p.m., followed by a meeting with the student Republicans.

The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited as priority will be given to students.
