Sept. 10: Concert season opens with faculty showcase recital

FREDERICK, Md.—The Hood College music department's concert season will open with a faculty showcase recital Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. in Brodbeck Music Hall.

The 10 musicians include Jan Aaland and Lisa Dodson, sopranos; David Duree, clarinet and saxophone; Barbara Spicher, flute; Ed Stanley, oboe; Alison Bazala Kim, cello; Wayne Wold, harpsichord; William Simms, theorbo; and Laine Beachley and Noel Lester, pianists. They will perform a variety of solo and ensemble works by Mozart, Beethoven, Ibert, Locatelli, Schumann, CPE Bach and others.

The concert is free and no tickets are required. Brodbeck Music Hall is handicapped accessible and air-conditioned.
