April 23: Book sale celebrates Shakespeare

FREDERICK, Md.—Hood College will celebrate William Shakespeare’s 451st birthday with the 14th annual used book sale April 23.

The sale, which is open to the public, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby of Hood’s Beneficial-Hodson Library and Technology Center.

Books from a wide range of subject areas will be available, including art, foreign language and psychology. There will also be a collection of fiction. Hardcover books will be $1, and paperbacks will be 50 cents unless marked otherwise.

The event raises funds for the College’s library and provides an opportunity for members of the community to donate their used books.

Clean, gently used books can be donated during regular library hours: Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m.
