FREDERICK, MD—A free workshop designed to provide information for families on college costs and ways to pay for college, including financial aid, scholarships and budgeting strategies, will be held Jan. 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall at Hood College.
The workshop is especially geared toward college-bound students and their parents but open to anyone.
Topics will include financial aid programs available from the federal and state governments, strategies and tips for applying for financial aid, what to expect during the process and how to assess financial aid offers. The information presented will be appropriate for students planning to apply to or enroll in public and private colleges and universities in Maryland and out-of-state.
Members of the Hood College financial aid staff will be available to answer individual questions about the aid application process.
