FREDERICK, Md.—A Hood College honors association will be sponsoring a fundraiser for a local nonprofit Oct. 24 in the Gambrill Gymnasium at Hood College.
Hood’s chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in the field of education, is sponsoring a zumbathon to raise money for the Frederick Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership. The event is from noon until 2 p.m. and will be comprised of high-energy dance moves to lively music.
The Frederick Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership was founded several years ago to help children of incarcerated parents in Frederick County, Md., by giving them a voice in the community, in the schools and in their families.
