Sept. 20: Faculty showcase recital

FREDERICK, Md.—The department of music at Hood College will present its annual showcase recital Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. in Brodbeck Music Hall.

The 10 faculty performers include Jan Aaland, soprano; Anna Claire Ayoub, bassoon; Jeffrey DeRoche, percussion; Lisa Dodson, soprano; David Duree, clarinet; Alison Bazala Kim, cello; Noel Lester, piano; Barbara Spicher, flute; Ed Stanley, oboe; and Wayne L. Wold, harpsichord.

The department gives this concert each year to introduce the Hood community to the range of instruments available for study at Hood and to the high level of performance represented by its faculty. The performers will play a wide variety of works, mostly as chamber ensembles, ranging from the Baroque to Modern eras.

The concert is free and open to the public. Brodbeck Music Hall is fully handicapped accessible and air conditioned.
