March 10-12: Student Musical Theatre presents spring show

FREDERICK, Md.—The Hood College Student Musical Theatre is presenting its annual spring musical March 10-12 in Brodbeck Music Hall.

The theater group will perform “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” March 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and March 12 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The show is being co-directed by students Joe Denicola and Will Shackley.

In the show, Gabriel Cassutto plays Charlie Brown, Glorie Cassutto plays Lucy, Connor Asman plays Linus, Kayla Sekira plays Sally, Amon Richardson plays Schroeder and Kaylene Wright plays Snoopy.

Joe Denicola is a senior at Hood and is double majoring in biology and chemistry. He has been involved with HCSMT for four years, onstage and off, and he is currently vice president of the organization.

Will Shackley is a senior at Hood and is majoring in law and criminal justice. He has been involved in HCSMT for four years and is the current president of the organization. Admission is free and open to the public, and donations are accepted. Concessions will be sold. Hood College Student Musical Theatre is a student-run organization that brings musical theater to Hood’s campus. The group was founded in September 2010 by Hood Class of 2013 alumni Ashley Birdsell and Billy Lewis and is governed by an elected executive board.
