FREDERICK, Maryland—The Hood College Dance Ensemble will hold its spring concert April 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall.
The concert will feature faculty, student and guest performers in a variety of dance styles.
Some of the pieces in the concert are a contemporary dance choreographed by co-captain Dominique Byrd to “The Dance” by Charlotte Morton; a jazz piece created by ensemble member Adaire Crabbe to a “Young and Beautiful” remix by Lana Del Rey; a hip-hop dance by co-captain Holly Barnett and ensemble member Jacqueline Larios to “No Lie” by Jean Paul, featuring Dua Lipa; a tap number choreographed and danced by ensemble members Layla Basile and Gabriella Basile to Andy Grammer’s “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)”; a lyrical piece created and danced by Byrd, Crabbe and Emily Kreisler to “Man On The Moon” by Phyllis Hyman; and a choreographed jazz number by dance team director Francine Marsili to “Take Me Away” from the movie “Freaky Friday.” Guest artists Souls of The Feet Dance Company from Pennsylvania will also perform.
