FREDERICK, Maryland—A panel discussion of Hood College law and criminal justice faculty and Hood alumnae is scheduled for April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the moot courtroom in the Tatem Arts Center.
According to the American Bar Association, for the first time in history, women outnumber men in the pursuit of a law school education. The panel on “Women in the Law,” moderated by Teresa Rivera Bean ’87, J.D., assistant professor of law and criminal justice, will explore issues women face in the legal profession.
The panel will include Ellen S. Sacks ’70, J.D., senior attorney, the Legal Aid Society; The Hon. Janice Rodnick Ambrose ’78, district court judge, retired; Sarah D. Cline ’04, J.D., attorney, Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A.; Katelyn Vu Hershel ’12, J.D., attorney, Franklin & Prokopik, P.C.; and Janis Judson, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Law and Criminal Justice, Hood College.
