FREDERICK, Maryland—The Hood College Dance Ensemble will present its fall concert Nov. 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall.
The concert will feature faculty and student choreography, guest performers and an exciting variety of dance styles.
Dance ensemble co-captain Dominique Byrd has choreographed a modern group piece to “Basshead” by Bass Nectar. Gabriella Basile and Layla Basile will perform a tap dance to “Dance With Me Tonight” by Olly Murs. Adaire Crabbe has prepared a liturgical group piece to “Rain On Us” by Ernest Pugh. Ensemble co-captain Holly Barnett and ensemble member Jacqueline Larios choreographed a hip-hop number to “Do Like That” by Jersey Club Mix. Emily Kreisler is presenting a contemporary trio piece to “Open Hands” by Ingrid Michaelson featuring Trent Dabbs. Ensemble artistic director Fran Marsili choreographed a jazz piece to “This Is How A Heart Breaks” by Rob Thomas, and guest choreographer Lynn Schaeber prepared a modern dance to “Palladio for String Orchestra: Allegro” by Karl Jenkins.
