Alison Bazala earned a bachelor's degree in music from New England Conservatory of Music, an master's degree in music. from Rice University and a doctoral degree in musical arts from the University of Maryland, all in cello performance. She has performed extensively throughout the United States and Europe, both as a soloist and chamber musician. She has taught at Michigan State University Community Music School, Columbia Union College, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and the International School of Music. A member of the Fairfax and Alexandria Symphonies, Bazala is also associate principal cellist of the Maryland Symphony and acting associate principal cellist of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra.
