The Helen McCullagh McCutcheon Award, established in honor of the late Helen McCullagh McCutcheon, Class of 1914, recognizes an outstanding student for interest and academic achievement in exercise, wellness or sports studies beyond the core requirement. This year’s recipient is Allie Appleby.
Allie is a senior majoring in accounting with a minor in economics. She has a keen interest in the relationship among physical activity, health and wellness. In addition to taking the required core courses in physical education, Allie has also taken exercise physiology, lifetime wellness and health, and stress management courses. She has been a member of the women’s basketball team for four years and the lacrosse team for one year.
