We recognize that families often need to look outside their immediate resources in order to help their students take the fullest advantage of the Hood College experience. It is the mission of the Office of Financial Aid to help students and their families develop a financial plan to make a Hood College education affordable, and to assist students throughout the financial aid process. Our office will be mailing award letters to new students starting mid-March 2016. Award letters for returning students will be mailed starting May 2016. Any updates regarding the 2016-2017 award year will be posted here or you may contact our office with any questions.
At Hood College we understand that locating financial assistance may be a major concern for you as you pursue your education. Because we are committed to helping you reach your academic goals, we encourage you to visit our web page for information to help lead you through the steps necessary for applying for financial aid at Hood College.
Cost of attendance includes both the direct cost of education and the indirect cost. The direct cost of education includes Tuition, Fees, Room & Board. Indirect costs are typically out of pocket expenses that are added to your total cost of attendance. Examples of these expenses are textbooks, transportation cost, and educational supplies.
Welcome to Hood College's Net Price Calculator. We are happy you are beginning to explore how to plan and pay for your college education. While many students feel apprehensive to apply to a private college because of the initial price, the results from the net price calculator may surprise you at how affordable your college choice can be.
