The Curriculum and Instruction program coursework is designed to be completed in the evenings while working full-time. The availability of multiple summer courses enables students to complete their program in two or more years. Students who follow these three steps can plan on completing the program requirements at a pace that meets their professional needs.
Review the Curriculum and Instruction Program Planning Guide. This guide allows you to plan out your coursework on a semester-by-semester basis.
Look up the Curriculum and Instruction program requirements, course descriptions and Graduate School policies and procedures in the catalog.
Students should consult with their program director and/or faculty adviser; the program director contact information is located at the bottom of the Curriculum and Instruction home page and each student's academic adviser is indicated on their letter of admission. These faculty members can assist in planning a program of study that is based on a student's professional and career goals.
At the Graduate School at Hood College, students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty who can assist in the pursuit of these goals. Students are encouraged to get to know their faculty advisers and course professors to make the most of their graduate school experience.
