Regulatory Compliance Certificate
As the result of an initial assessment of employer needs, the Graduate School has temporarily suspended the Regulatory Compliance Certificate program. Although the school will not accept new students for the immediate future, students currently in the certificate program will be able to complete their studies. The Graduate School is beginning a review of the curriculum and concerted outreach to the region's biomedical and regulatory community and looks forward to offering a revised program in the soon.
The Hood Graduate School Regulatory Compliance certificate program prepares science professionals to undertake the vital safety responsibility of assuring the quality of drugs, vaccines, therapeutic agents, tests and devices. The reputation of the companies that manufacture these products demands compliance with the complex federal regulations that govern the delivery of these products to market. The Frederick, Maryland school is within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region.
From concept to marketing
Students learn the compliance business from subject-matter experts who are recognized leaders in their fields. They develop and hone high-tech and scientific writing skills and study clinical and laboratory practices in the regulatory context. From concept and design through manufacture and marketing, they acquire a solid foundation in relevant FDA laws.
Ready to hit the ground
Evening classes accommodate full-time professionals and enable them to make productive connections between classwork and workplace while completing the certificate. The eight-course program prepares students to take the exam required for Regulatory Affairs certification; the only globally recognized credential in the health care product sector. Funded by the American Medical Device Association, a competitive Regulatory Compliance scholarship is available to students pursuing a Regulatory Compliance certificate or a Regulatory Compliance concentration in the MBA and Biomedical Sciences programs.
