A liberal arts education prepares students to think analytically, to argue persuasively, to write coherently, to read and assess critically and to be open to new ways of thinking. Academic and business experts agree that the most successful employees are those with a liberal arts background.
Hood’s Center for Career Development and Experiential Education professionals provide services that help prepare students for the professional world—résumé evaluations and mock interviews; volunteer and internship connections; career guidance; and pre-law, medical, dental, veterinary and nursing school advising—as well as advice and assistance with graduate school selection and application procedures.
Through coursework, hands-on experiences, internships and expert guidance from the College’s career center professionals, Hood students are well prepared to competitively enter the work force or to pursue graduate study.
