FREDERICK, Md.—A senior executive at The World Bank will discuss the challenges of managing in a constantly changing world April 8 at 6:30 p.m..
Vinod Thomas, director-general and senior vice president of the Independent Evaluation Group at The World Bank, will present a lecture titled "Managing in an Era of Global Change" in the Whitaker Campus Center Commons.
Thomas is the author of over a dozen books, numerous journal articles and opinion pieces in areas from trade and macroeconomics to project evaluation and finance. He studies unexpected management obstacles from a global perspective including financial crises, climate change and natural disasters.
The Hood College chapters of the academic honor societies Sigma Beta Delta and Omicron Delta Epsilon sponsor the lecture, which is free and open to the public.
