Monday, April 2, 2012

Republican presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke Monday, April 2 to a capacity crowd in Hood's Hodson Auditorium.

Gingrich’s wife, Callista, introduced him to the audience. She has supported his campaign through numerous speaking appearances and rallies.

Gingrich spoke about his ideas on health care reform, education, drilling and energy policies, the role of government, family values, economy and jobs creation initiatives and funding for NASA space exploration. The talk was followed by a question-and-answer session.

Gingrich also met with the Hood College Republicans, a group of students that strives to promote values consistent with the Republican Party and encourages student participation in the election process.
