FREDERICK, Md.—A renowned journalist, author and political pundit will discuss the news media coverage of the 2012 presidential campaign Nov. 13 at 12:45 p.m. in the Whitaker Campus Center.
Jack Germond has provided political analysis for CNN since the 1992 presidential campaign, appearing regularly on the network's Inside Politics and Inside Politics Extra. He has also been a regular guest on the public commentary television programs Meet the Press, Inside Washington and The McLaughlin Group.
A journalist for more than 40 years, Germond has covered national politics for Gannett Newspapers, the Washington Star and the Baltimore Sun. He is the co-author of a syndicated column, Politics Today, and the author of Fat Man in a Middle Seat: Forty Years of Covering Politics and Fat Man Fed Up: How American Politics Went Bad.
The lecture is co-sponsored with Hood's offices of the president and the provost, the political science department and the communication arts program.
