Prerequisites: A minimum grade of “B-” in IT 510 and IT 512 or concurrent enrollment orpermission of the instructor. (Second semester/3 credits)
This course addresses the current issues that surround the use of information technology
(IT) and the development of IT-based solutions. Using an overview of the IT components
utilized in the areas of computer hardware and software, information processing and
telecommunications as a foundation, this course explores the current issues and trends which
challenge IT professionals. The primary purpose of this course is to teach students how to approach, investigate, consider, analyze, use and apply information technology in order to
address specific information-based needs. The course is intended to serve as a foundation formore advanced work in the Information Technology concentration.
