Hodson Gallery - Hood College

Portfolio Advantage Program

At Hood College, your life learning may translate into college credits. Transfer students often bring a wealth of knowledge and experiential learning to the classroom. You may have held paid or volunteer jobs, traveled, or taken noncollegiate courses that have taught you as much as a college course. At Hood, your experiential learning can be evaluated using several methods.

Students may earn advanced placement credits through the College Entrance Examination Board's (CEEB®) Advanced Placement and Achievement tests. Students also may earn credits by taking College Level Examination Program (CLEP®) subject matter tests, Defense Activity for Nontraditional Education Support (DANTES) examinations, and departmental "challenge" examinations.
