* Students may audition for advanced placement and credit in applied music. They may also earn up to 4 credits for previous study.
** Check with department as to which ensemble you might join. Ensembles may be taken for credit or they may be taken as non-credit.

Music history (MUSC 303 and 304): MUSC 303 is usually offered every other fall, and MUSC 304 every other spring. It is not necessary to take 303 before taking 304. MUSC 201 is a prerequisite for both 303 and 304. In semesters where 201 and 303 are both offered, the two can be taken concurrently only with permission of the instructor.
