Applying for Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans and student employment), students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than February 15 to meet Hood's priority deadline. The FAFSA is available from most high school guidance offices and the College. Students are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
When completing the FAFSA, be sure to list Hood College. The Federal School Code for Hood is 002076. This number is needed when you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) it allows Hood's Office of Financial Aid to electronically download the results of your FAFSA.
If you miss the February 15 priority deadline, we still encourage you to apply for financial aid. Note that applications submitted early are given first priority for limited grant funding.
If you apply for admission to Hood College prior to January 1, the College strongly encourages you to take advantage of the College's Early Financial Aid Estimator.
By completing this form, the College will prepare an estimated financial aid package for you, thus providing you the opportunity to see how affordable Hood can be. Students who complete the Early Financial Aid Estimator are still required to complete the FAFSA no later than February 15.
