Junior Ryan Junghans (above) became the third member of Hood's 1,000-point club Saturday in a loss to Marymount University. Junghans netted team-highs in scoring in each of Hood's two contests last week. The Blazers remain in third place in the Capital Athletic Conference and have one game slated for this week. Hood hosts fourth-place Wesley College Tuesday at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in a game originally scheduled for Wednesday. The Blazers and Wolverines will tip at approximately 8 p.m.

Hood took on its second nationally ranked conference opponent in as many weeks Saturday, falling to No. 25 Marymount University at home. Jen Willison and Jessica Parrish each tallied 10 points while Sara Wastler (above) buried two three-pointers for six points. Earlier in the week, Willison notched her fifth double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds in a 79-51 setback to St. Mary's College (Md.). The Blazers, currently in eighth place in the Capital Athletic Conference, look to get back on the winning track hosting fourth-place Wesley College Tuesday in a contest originally scheduled for Wednesday at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School.

Junior Nadine Miglio (above) and the Blazer equestrian club travel to Garrison Forest School Sunday for a show with Goucher College. Hood will also journey to the University of Mary Washington for a show Feb. 23-24.

First-year head coach Molly Hesterberg guides the Blazers into their first season in the Capital Athletic Conference Saturday against defending league champion and third-ranked Salisbury University.
Senior goalkeeper Lauren Lieb (above) and sophomore midfielder Brandy Noel will serve as team captains of a young squad which features three seniors, six sophomores and four freshmen. Hood was 4-9 overall last season and advanced to the championship game of the Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference tournament.

Senior Jason Kinder (above) became the first Hood swimmer to earn all-conference honors at last year's Capital Athletic Conference championships. He will be looking for a repeat performance this season as the Blazers travel to St. Mary's College (Md.) for the three-day championship meet.
