| MEN'S AND WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY (0-0, 0-0 CAC): At the the McDaniel College Green Terror Challenge, the Hood men placed fourth and the women took second out of nine teams in the combined team standings. Danielle Sgro (21:54), Lauren Smith (22:03), Nick Manning (left) (17:44) and William Andrews (17:57) were medalists in the 5K while Andrews (10:51) and April Penn (14:14) were Hood's top finishers in the 3K.

| FIELD HOCKEY (1-3, 0-1 CAC): In its Capital Athletic Conference debut, junior Crystal Parker scored Hood’s first-ever CAC goal, but it was not enough as the Blazers fell to the Spartans of York College (Pa.), 2-1. Junior Ashley Saylor made four saves while senior Christa Lundskow and sophomore Sarah Balukoff (left) also were credited with one defensive save apiece. Hood hosts Seton Hill College Thursday.

| MEN'S SOCCER (3-2, 0-0 CAC): Hood outscored two nonconference opponents 10-1 in a 2-0 week to extend its win streak to three. The Blazers outshot the opposition 65-12 in two games. Senior Marcelino Rabara netted three goals and an assist in Hood’s two victories and was selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week. In all, seven different players scored for Hood on the week, including sophomore Quinn Miller's (left) first of the season. Hood is in the midst of a stretch where it plays three games in five days, including a pair of conference games. Hood travels to York, Pa., Monday to take on the top-ranked team in NCAA Division III, the York College Spartans.

| WOMEN'S SOCCER (0-6, 0-2 CAC): Hood continues its six-match road swing with a pair of matches this week. Senior Kristina Rendon (left) and the Blazers journey to Wilson College Tuesday and Frostburg State University Wednesday. Hood is currently ranked third in the Capital Athletic Conference in saves per game (7.60).

| VOLLEYBALL (2-10, 0-1 CAC): Hood halted a 10-match losing skid Saturday by outlasting Rowan University, 3-2, in the final match of the University of Scranton Invitational. Senior Lindsey Nagy (left) reached double figures in kills in all five matches on the week. Nagy is currently second all-time at Hood in career kills with 705. Senior Jamie Bussey is second all-time at Hood with 779 career digs.
