FREDERICK, Md.—The Graduate School at Hood College will host a BioBeers event on Nov. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Whitaker Campus Center Commons.
BioBeers is a national Meetup for people 21 and older that provides a platform where like-minded folks in the biosciences gather to share ideas, cultivate business and professional relationships, and build life-long friendships.
Mentoring is important for advancing careers in the biosciences, with many benefits, including supporting career development for the mentee and helping mentors gain skills such as leadership and communication. The Graduate School at Hood College and the Frederick National Laboratory are committed to supporting mentorship initiatives through many avenues, including traditional one-on-one mentoring, broader knowledge sharing, and experiential learning. Come and chat about the mentors who shaped your career while you enjoy free local brews.
Sponsored by the Hood Graduate School, Brewer’s Alley, and the Frederick National Laboratory, this event is free and open to the public. In order to attend, you must RSVP via the BioBeers Meetup website: www.meetup.com/FredCoBio-BioBeers. Attendees should also bring their government-issued ID in order to enter the event.
