Bonner Foundation
The Bonner Scholars Program is supported by The Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Foundation, a national philanthropic organization based in Princeton, New Jersey. The Bonner Scholars Program was launched in the 1990-1991 academic year at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where 40 students were selected and supported. In the 1991-1992 academic year, eleven more colleges and universities joined the program, and in the 1992-1993 academic year a total number of twenty-two institutions participated in the program. Currently, twenty-five colleges and universities participate in the Bonner Scholars Program. Over the course of the next few years, as many as 2,200 Bonner Scholars will be supported.
