Weekday Visits for First-Year Students

First-year students are individuals who have not attended a post-secondary institution (college or university) after graduating high school. Dual-enrollment students, individuals who took college level courses during their high school education, are considered first-year students.

First-year students are invited to join us for a 30-minute meeting about the college followed by a 60-minute campus tour. Visits are offered Monday through Friday at various times.

Sunday, April 27 Visit

Join us for a group presentation on admission followed by a student-led campus tour. Please plan to arrive to campus at 9:45 a.m. An optional lunch in our dining hall will be offered at noon when tours conclude.

Weekday Visits for Transfer Students

Transfer students are any student who has enrolled at college after completing high school or the equivalent.

Transfer students are invited to join us for a group presentation with a member of our staff, followed by a campus tour. Visits are offered Mondays and Tuesdays at 2 p.m. EST Please note our visits are limited to no more than 4 students/families per time. 

You are welcome to email a copy of your unofficial transcript(s) to visits@hood.edu five business days prior to your visit to receive an unofficial credit evaluation during your appointment.

Counselors and Group Visits

We do our very best to accommodate requests from high school and community college counselors to bring groups to campus. Groups meeting the following criteria will be considered:

  • High school or community college students
  • Maximum of 30 students
  • Must be able to arrive to campus by 10 a.m. EST on the chosen date
  • Group visits are not offered on Fridays.
