Citation Guides and Style Manuals
A citation guide is essentially a series of templates that illustrate the form for indicating the source of quoted or referenced material in a paper or other work of scholarly research. A style manual not only describes how to cite referenced works, but also prescribes other formatting for a scholarly work in a particular discipline or for most types of written research work. These include the MLA Style Sheet (Modern Language Association), and the publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
