Congratulations on being admitted to Hood College!

Fall 2014 Semester New Students:

Next steps to enrollment 


  • First-year students
    1. Submit enrollment and housing deposits to secure a place in the first-year class and residence halls (if the student wishes to reside on campus)  
    2. Submit official transcripts of  final grades
    3. Request  College Board send official score reports of any AP exams taken in high school to Hood
    4. Register for upcoming Admitted Students' Day
    5. Learn more about and register for our comprehensive Orientation and Transition program that we are designing for you! During this all inclusive program you will:

      • Take your placement exams to determine which coursers are best suited for you
      • Register for your fall semester courses
      • Receive your iPad along with a special tutorial
      • Meet new students and other members of the Hood Community
      • Learn about the First Year Read and First Year Seminars
      • Attend Fall Orientation where you will have an opportunity to be introduced to campus support services, and meet with your Freshman/Sophomore Academic Adviser.
       
  • Transfer students  
    1. Submit enrollment and housing deposits to secure a place in the class and residence halls (if the student wishes to reside on campus)   
    2. Angie Dodson, assistant registrar and transfer coordinator, will contact transfer students to schedule an advising and registration appointment
    3. Sign up for Transfer Transition, a special orientation program for transfer students
    4. Send official transcripts of any course work the transfer student plans to complete between now and the beginning of the semester

Spring 2015 semester new students: next steps to enrollment

  • Transfer students:
    1. Submit enrollment and housing deposits and complete Enrollment Agreement form to secure a place at Hood for the spring semester and residence halls (if the student wishes to reside on campus)
    2. Angie Dodson, assistant registrar and transfer coordinator, will contact transfer students to schedule an advising and registration appointment
    3. Send final transcripts to the Registrar's Office
    4. Register for Spring Transition, Sunday, Jan. 18, a special orientation program
  • First-year students:
    1. Submit enrollment and housing deposits and complete Enrollment Agreement form to secure a place at Hood for the spring semester and residence halls (if the student wishes to reside on campus)
    2. Take placement tests at www.hood.edu/placement by Jan. 3
    3. Once the placement tests have been completed, e-mail orientation@hood.edu and an academic adviser will be in contact with accepted students to register for Spring Semester classes
    4. Request College Board to send official score reports of any AP exams taken in high school to Hood
    5. Have final transcripts sent to the Registrar's Office
    6. Register for Spring Transition, Sunday, Jan. 18, a special orientation program
