Biography
I teach both marketing and management classes, at the undergraduate and MBA levels. I thoroughly enjoy advising and working with students, and was honored to win the Hood Student Government Association’s Advisor of the Year Award in 2014. After a 15-year career in business, I earned a doctorate in marketing from The George Washington University, with a secondary concentration in organization behavior.
My areas of interest include international marketing, services marketing, and marketing strategy. I have authored case studies and articles in such journals as the Journal of Business Case Studies and Review of Business and Finance Studies, and have presented papers at national and international conferences, including the Conference of the Institute for the Study of Business Markets at Harvard Business School, International Business and Economics Conference at New Orleans, and the Society of Business Research Conference at Nashville..
I started my career in the telecommunications industry, and later served first as the Director of Marketing and then President of an international computer software company with revenues of over $100 million. While at Hood I have served on corporate boards, for organizations such as the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI), and consulted in the areas of both management and marketing. In my spare time, I enjoy surfing and fishing.
