Applied Instructor, Piano
Biography
Kuei-I Wu is a native of Taiwan and immigrated to the U.S. after high school to continue her musical study. Attended music-gifted schools since childhood, Wu has presented both solo and chamber recitals over the years, as well as concerto performances with orchestras in Taiwan, Spain, Austria and here in the U.S.
Equally adapted and passionate about teaching, Wu enjoys helping students overcome technique limitations and finding the inspiration in classical music. One of her greatest goals is to instill the appreciation for classical music in people through both her teaching and playing. She is a member of MTNA and American College of Musicians. Wu is currently a faculty member at Hood College and Howard Community College, while maintaining a piano studio at home in Gaithersburg.
