The Graduate School at Hood College presented the 2019 Parrott-Anderston Outstanding Curriculum & Instruction Student Award to Alice Kinsey, current graduate student in Hood College's School Counseling program. This award is funded by Cheryl D. Parrot, and her husband, Jack N. Anderson.
Alice is currently employed as a Student Intervention Specialist at a middle school in Washington County Public Schools. She works with at-risk youth and families to ensure and support school attendance and high school graduation. While at Hood College, Alice’s research demonstrated that student demographic data was fundamental in creating a much needed food pantry at her school—for this effort, she won a generous grant to fund this important endeavor. She is also the proud mother of two!
Congratulations Alice - We wish her all the best in her future endeavors!
