Baroque Music Concert
FREDERICK, Maryland—The second concert of the Noel K. Lester Summer Chamber Music Festival at Hood College will feature Baroque music on June 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Brodbeck Music Hall.
The concert, entitled “A Baroque Music Celebration,” will include works by Handel, Bach, Telemann and Besozzi. Performers are Barbara Spicher on flute, Anna Clair Ayoub on bassoon, Ed Stanley on oboe and Wayne L. Wold on harpsichord and organ. Baroque music is a style of Western art music composed from about 1600 to 1750 known for its grandiose, dramatic and energetic spirit.
