Reading Clinic and Camp Start in June
Graduate students in the Reading Specialization program will serve as clinicians in two settings this summer:
- the Hood College Reading Clinic for elementary school students ages 6-12
- the Frederick Community College Reading Camp for middle school, high school and college-level students
Dr. Ellen Koitz, Reading Specialization program director, calls the programs “instructive for everyone involved. Our grad students get a hands-on opportunity to put their knowledge to work, and the students they teach benefit from the latest teaching strategies.”
The clinic is a six-week experience for elementary students. The camp consists of two three-week sessions, one beginning in late June and one beginning in mid-July.
