U.S. Silica Hosts Grad School Dean and Others

Dr. Maria Green Cowles, Dean of the Graduate School, was among local education, government and business representatives recently hosted by U.S. Silica at the company's Frederick facility. U.S. Silica, which relocated to  Frederick in 2011, specializes in glass sand and related products and has 18 locations. "We're excited to make connections with growing companies in the sciences, of which U.S. Silica is definitely one," said Dr. Cowles.
