About the Symposium
The Imaging Science and Cancer Biology Symposium--the first in the Hood College-Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. Life Sciences Symposium Series--will showcase the latest technologies and advances in imaging science across the spectrum from molecules to man. The symposium comes when revolutionary advances in imaging technologies offer new and powerful tools to elucidate cancer biology. These technologies hold promise for unprecedented insights into cancer biology and molecular therapeutics.
The symposium will feature world leaders in the field who will highlight current progress and the potential of imaging in cancer diagnosis and therapy. It will open Friday evening with a public lecture. Scientific sessions will begin the following morning and continue through mid-day Sunday.
This symposium is organized by Hood College, in partnership with Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. This interdisciplinary conference builds on the legacy of the prior popular Hood College–National Cancer Institute Oncogene meetings, a national fixture in Frederick for more than 20 years.
