Biography
After earning my bachelor’s degree, I taught 8th grade math in Atlanta with Teach for America for two years. I returned to school and received my Ph.D. in 2013 for my work in combinatorial commutative algebra, studying a class of algebras known as intersection algebras. After two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, I joined the Hood College faculty in 2015.
I am a Project NExT fellow (Brown 13), and my research continues in combinatorial commutative algebra and in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
