Academics in the Center
Hood-CCWS offers education programs to augment the College's environmental biology curriculum that encompass both field and lab study components. Our education programs encourage multi-disciplinary/cross-disciplinary approaches to learning. They are student-centered and provide opportunities for student-scholars to participate with their peers and faculty mentors in a variety of collaborative research projects regarding coastal and watershed issues.
Education Offerings:
- Coastal Studies Semester (CSS), Minor/Concentration. A semester-long experience studying the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
- Sustainability Studies, Major, B.A.
- Environmental Biology, Graduate, M.S.
- Field Courses - Bahamas -Costa Rica
- GIS Certificate.
