Korean Buncheong Ceramics Slip Decoration | 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m. Tatem Arts Center. Room 1 (basement)
Discover the art of traditional Korean stoneware from the 15th-century Joseon Dynasty. This workshop includes a demonstration and an opportunity for participants to create small slab pieces with Buncheong slip decoration techniques. Join us for Palestinian Voices, an event devoted to the powerful words of Palestinian authors, capturing the raw emotions and resilience forged in the crucible of conflict. Through selected readings of poetry, prose, and testimonies, volunteers will read stories that shed light on the impact of war, displacement, and loss on Palestinian lives and identities. This event seeks to honor voices that echo the struggle for dignity and survival, revealing both the profound challenges and the unyielding hope that continue to shape the Palestinian experience. Come listen, reflect, and connect with stories of endurance that resonate beyond borders. Lunch will be provided.

The Microbiology, Public Health, and History Film Festival proudly commemorates U.S. and World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week by screening the 2022 German documentary, Silent Pandemic (Stille Pandemie). This powerful film will be followed by a panel discussion addressing the global rise of drug-resistant superbugs and their profound impacts. This is an international crisis that affects countries both rich and poor, and one that will require nations to work together to resolve. (Hosted by the Biology Department )
