Events and Traditions

More than 500 programs and activities, including social and cultural events, academic and poster presentations, public lectures, civic engagement activities, induction ceremonies, special trips, athletic events and recreational activities, and much, much more are sponsored throughout the year. 

Whitaker Wednesdays, sponsored weekly by student clubs and organizations--and even senior team administrators--offer a wide array of activities ranging from BINGO and game nights to movies and stress relievers. In addition, students gather throughout the year to celebrate traditions such as Homecoming and Family Weekend, Ring Ceremony, Margaret Hood Ball, Spring Fest, plus more.  See Traditions for more details.
