Whether you earned a few college credits as a high school student or will graduate high school with an associate degree, Hood is here to help you maximize those college credits and get the most of out your higher education experience.
Enjoy the best of both worlds with first-year perks like living with other first-year students, our highest and most competitive scholarships, orientation opportunities to connect with other new students and special seminar courses as well as transfer student benefits like early course registration after your first semester and pre-requisite waivers for coursework transferred in.
Learn at your own pace—finish your bachelor’s degree in two years, take an extra year to study abroad or add a double major. You can even combine your undergraduate studies with earning a master’s through our 4PLUS dual-degree program.
- Transfer up to 62 credits for first-year and sophomore-level coursework and up to 94 credits for all college-level coursework. You must complete your final 30 credits at Hood College.
- Transfer credits are awarded for any course in which you earned a C- or above that is applicable to a bachelor's degree.
- Associate degrees from Maryland community colleges automatically exempt students from the general education core requirements. Associate degrees from out of state can also be applied to core requirements.
- Thinking about a nursing major? You can still transfer credits, but the program typically takes at least three years.
