The days of browsing card catalogs and library shelves are long gone; the rise in technology and instant access to information has transformed how students study, communicate and complete course assignments. transforming Hood's library will enable us to combine the functions of a library, laboratory, classroom and lounge into a single academic space. The first floor -- a Learning Commons, a hub of active, engaged, collaborative learning with open and flexible spaces. Large glass walls flood the environment with increased natural light.
